Notes
Khakhou (Խախու) was a historical Armenian village located in the Tayk region, now in the Tortor province. The Church of Saint Mary of Khakhu, also known as Khakhuvank, was built in 868 and is a classic example of Armenian architecture with a central dome structure and a cross base. This region was historically inhabited by Armenians, and the church later became a mosque.
